Questions, answered.
Getting started
No. Many of our members come to us with little or no gym experience. We meet you where you are, build your technique from the ground up, and progress at a rate that makes sense for your body.
We read your application and come back within 24 hours with a recommendation and, if it looks like a good fit, an invitation to a free consultation call. No hard sell, no urgency tactics.
We don’t offer drop-in trials, but every new client starts with a free consultation — a proper conversation, not a sales pitch. We’d rather you meet us and decide than commit without knowing what you’re signing up for.
Coaching
Every session is programmed and coached — not just supervised. That means structured, progressive training built around your goals and how your body responds. We adjust load, technique and intensity as you progress.
A regular gym gives you access to equipment. We give you a programme, a coach, and a plan. Nothing is left to guesswork. Your training is built for you, not for a general population.
Yes, in most cases. We work with women managing a wide range of conditions — from joint issues to peri-menopause to post-surgical recovery. We’ll ask about this in your application so we can plan accordingly.
Nutrition
No. We don’t use restrictive diets or calorie-cutting frameworks. Nutrition coaching at Alleviate is about building a sustainable relationship with food that supports your training and your life.
Basic nutrition guidance is included in all memberships. Dedicated nutrition-only coaching is available as a standalone option for women who don’t want a full training package.
Logistics
We’re based in Glasgow, G1. Exact address is shared after you book your consultation. The studio is accessible by public transport and has on-street parking nearby.
